"I would also like to add that the BFBC2 PC patch is currently still in development and we have sent it for STEAM compatibility testing today. All being well the patch will be released early next week".

Can you download the patch external to BFBC2 or do you have to go threw there site. I will download it and put it on the ftp if someone can give me a link? Sorry have got no time to troll the net, other than our forums :)

Their are copies of the update floating around the internet now so it is possible to update without going through the in game process if anyone is having trouble updating via the game you can find links at http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/ (http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/)
You may need to register and the links are posted under a sticky thread under the Battlefield series, Bfbc2 forums. If anyone is going to try this process make sure you read the entire thread as some people have stuffed it up.
Looks like this latest patch is causing some people a lot of problems with their game now unable to be played.

I'm guessing you have tried the updater.exe file?

This patch does not fix the back screen issuse :(

Try this Jad:cool:

just delete these 3 files

settings.ini
GameSettings.ini
GameSettings.bin

4 win7 users: you find them in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\bfbc2

the game will rewrite them at startup

you only have to set up your grafik and sound ingame

Thanks, this fixed my crashes that started after the latest updates. I had tweaked them as well, so guess that was the problem.

This worked for me as well. Finally!!!

This Worked but I did loose my single player saves. But that it a small price to pay
