Resurrecting an old thread (sorry) but seeing as my vent won't work...

Pronto, what do you think of this game? Give me your +/- opinions.

I don't like it that much so far, very different from previous genres almost cartoony :( naval battles are cool but any more than a couple of ships becomes very difficult to manage their paths and firing patterns. And land battles suck!

It took me a few days to get into it - the management side of things is pretty complex (money/food/religeon/trade/steady increases in civil unrest).

I don't like the naval battles - the effects when the cannons fire are ghey.

I find the campaign may is too busy - they have tried to fit in too much eye candy and it gets hard to work out where everything is. The animation is very jumpy for me on this screen.

I don't think ther are enough distinct differences between the forces that each nation can recruit either, it's quite different to Rome TW in that respect.

The worst thing is that when I play as the English it keeps giving me missions in America and India, so I don't get a chance to go in and kick the shit out of the French.

That said, I do enjoy it, probably more because of my interest in the period than through the gameplay. I'm not sure it will have the stickability of Rome TW though.

What r they like in multi player ?, assuming I get the hang of it .

I'm not sure what the multiplayer is like. I'm enjoying single player too much.
