Well, I moved my puter, unplugged everything and now when I try to play MP it errors.

Either via Xfire or direct. I uninstalled and reintstalled, but did not fix the problem.

Ideas?

Uninstall clean your registry with ccleaner or something like that and then reinstall?

Maybe when you moved the puter you casued something inside to move a little bit, try reseating your ram, gpu, etc.

Leave the pc where it is, but move the house the exact same distance but in reverse, this should fix the problem.

I would go with Hobzee, uninstall also uninstall xfire.
Re install COD4 see that it functions then reinstall x fire.

Then try zav's input.

Benny, working from home isn't doing you much good. :PDT_Armataz_01_35[1

I googled it and came up with

From the "COD 4 Issues and fixes " Sticky

10. I try to run cod4 but the game crashes with an iw3mp.exe error

Plug a mic / headphones into your unused mic port

If you are running realtek hd audio on your vista then all you have to do is go to your control panel. click hardware and sound. then sound. click the recording tab on your screen. then right click show disabled. then enable stereo mix.

Use Vista drivers for your sound instead of the device drivers
