View Full Version : Blue screen of death
My computer is showing a blue screen after I select startup in either safe or normal mode, the trouble is it only flashes it up before restarting and I can not see what it says. Is there any button you can press to stop it restarting so I can see the error???
Personally I think it is the new hard drive but that is a guess.
Any help would be appreciated.
This may not be helpful but.
In WOW I was continually getting errors game crashing not long after i started get the blue screen.
After weeks of troubleshooting i followed one course of action and increased the voltage to my RAM.All good since.
The bios told me when the increase was 'dangerous'.
Now I also have a HDD that is recognised only on startup so I am also led to believe my PSU is inadequate although i relaced it only a few months ago. i will go up tp a larger source as soon as I can afford it.
For some reason i always got an error code on the blue screen .
Dont know if this will help you.
Thanks Wabli
I do not think it is a power supply issue, have a 750 Watt Corsair, expect my system is running at about 400 watts or less, had been running on a 500 watt before. Might be something stupid as I did schedule a disk checkup before shutting it down last night.
You didn't use windows to do your disk check did you...?

Yes, Why?
but have download an iso dos version from Western digital to try when I get home.
Well if you used windows to do anything then that's at least half your problem. That's what good freeware is for.
Anybody know of a good free :) disk checking program, the one I downloaded from western digital is missing a file???
Depends on what you want to check it for?
