My twp cents worth is they will settle out of court as Blizzards insurers will probably see what is in the wind.
WOW is probably THE greatest money spinner they have.When i started playing it was around the 5 million subscriptions mark its now around 9 million in 3yrs. This was achieved by entering China albeit with the restrictions imposed by the Chinese Gvt.
Not withstanding apart from all the BS including their Blizz Con's its money that matters, enjoyment of a solid loyal fan base really amounts to diddly squat.
Example ; I went through all the hassles of trying to import their games 'extras' and WOW has shit loads. WETA workshop still produce models, large for them.
I ended up talking to Vinelli ? in Australia they hold the marketing for Oceania.
i think i have the name wrong but it starts with with V and i have binned all the correspondence with them.
End result I would be set sales targets by them and failing to meet them no more product. Thats a usual business practice but i cannot do full time sales even internet and NO MAN owns me. My reply was rather short and straight to the point.

Thanks for reading this ramble but at the end of the day it's an industry still evolving. PC gamers IMO are the BEST gamers because the intelligence behind the gaming and moding and making maps etc.
Soon we will have very choice in game types as the 'other' markets will continue to erode our computers abilities to play their type of game.
But hey we still have FPS ,flying sims ,sub sims and all the older excellent strategy gamers.

Monday evening, we all sat stunned in front of our computer screens as G4TV’s Patrick Klepek broke the story of the firing of IW’s President/Game Director Jason West and the CEO Vince Zampella. Shocking news made even more surreal given that IW’s game sales of MW2 have nearly approached one billion dollars.

What gives? Why were these two men fired? What does it mean for gamers and is this good news or bad news for PC gamers?

look what happens when recreation events turn into money spinners ie. 90 mile beach fishing comp. for example.

How ever there will be lessons learned by all.more so in this particular industry that although dipped slightly still moved forward in a global recession , the is the power of disposable income of young people.
